# \[AdaCL\] Improved Asserts for AUnit

The standard assertions which come with AUnit can only check for boolean for true and false which results in rather boring error messages like:

```log
FAIL Tests : Test_01 : simple calculation
    value
    at tests.adb:49

```

With version 6.0.0 of [AdaCL](https://adacl.sourceforge.net/) I have added new improved assertions which will give you more informative error messages:

```log
FAIL Tests : Test_01 : simple calculation
    Discrete_Type «value» 1 is not equal to 2
    at tests.adb:49

```
