Searching through the pretalx online info, I presume that you first need to add me as a co-organizer or co-speaker.

Only after doing that would I be able to co-edit the proposal, and also see the parts that are now missing. Note for example the part after the title has the following clarification: “This description is meant for the FOSDEM program team and will not be made public”.

The submission page mentions explicitely: “Add an email for one additional devroom organisers who will be invited to create an account as well. If you need more, you can add extra organisers after finishing the proposal.” As you finished the proposal, you should be able to add more emails. (You managed to do that last year. I found the email invitation that [pretalx@fosdem.org](mailto:pretalx@fosdem.org) sent me on Oct 11 2025, with subject "_[fosdem-2026-call-for-devrooms] [fosdem-2026-call-for-devrooms] Fernando Oleo Blanco invites you to join their session!"_, containing a URL that I had to follow to accept/join…)

I have the same issue. Just made an account with my full name, I can jump in and edit tomorrow if you add me.

Well… Mystery solved! I could not invite people while the proposal was in draft mode… I have submitted it officially and I was able to add @Mark and @DirkCraeynest as co-authors (you should have received an email). The proposal can still be modified even… Quite unintuitive.

Best regards,
Fer

Done. I reviewed the full proposal, including the part “meant for the FOSDEM program team”, and made a few small fixes and additions.

I just did a few more fixes:

- Spacing, the EOL was not consistent
- Made some textual changes
- Specifically called out memory safety in a couple of places in the text
- Added a list of sample topics to the CfP

I think this is looking good, though I have no experience in this area.

Good updates. I just moved the list of sample topics after the paragraph that invites people to submit proposals, a more “logical” place IMHO and there it doesn’t break the flow of the preceding text. HTH
