# Gnat Studio on Linux "Go To Declaration" doesn't always navigate to the right line

A percentage of the time “Go To Declaration” doesn’t actually land on the type but somewhere else in the file. A quick back and try again seems to work. Can anyone confirm that it’s the same for them?

what version?
I’ve seen it move to correct line, but that line being below visible area. but scrolling down 10 lines or so reveals it is on correct line. this is 2026.1 on rocky 8

Yes, you’re right. In fact instead of going back and trying again you can also just use an arrow key to correct the window focus. I’m using 2026.2 but I believe it is a long standing minor issue. If it’s just the focus and line number is right then it’s likely to be inconsequential too.
