Whenever I try to build the startup-gen crate using `alr build` I get the following error: ```ada Compile [Ada] gpr-compilation-process.adb [Ada] device.adb [Ada] setup.adb [Ada] utils.adb gpr-compilation-process.adb:44:29: error: operator for type "String" is not declared in "Env_Maps" compilation of gpr-compilation-process.adb failed gprbuild: *** compilation phase failed error: Command ["gprbuild", "-s", "-j0", "-p", "-P", "/home/brendan/startup_gen_26.0.0_fbf3774d/startup_gen.gpr"] exited with code 4 error: Build failed ``` Am I doing something wrong with the build process or is there a fix for the error itself? AFAIK, AdaCore tags their libraries so that they compile with specific compiler versions. What compiler version are you using? Just FYI: this is not an artificial limitation from AdaCore. As the compiler becomes smarter and more correct, it may error out with code that used to compile, and modification to update the library may break compilation with older versions. So that is the problem at hand. Best regards, Fer ---

Oh yeah I had that problem too. My workaround is to just ```bash alr get startup_gen cd startup_gen_* alr build ``` that works for me and should be more up to date. * * * I just tested it and `alr install startup_gen` works again on my machineā€¦ ---

I get the same problem using `alr install` as `alr get`, but it occurs during the install process instead of when building. Hereā€™s the error from that: ```ada gpr-compilation-process.adb:44:29: error: operator for type "String" is not declared in "Env_Maps" compilation of gpr-compilation-process.adb failed gprbuild: *** compilation phase failed error: Command ["gprbuild", "-s", "-j0", "-p", "-P", "/home/brendan/.local/share/alire/builds/libgpr_26.0.0_600d4a7b/6dcad84ad62c61ed0a1af7f94f31d2329571df3cea97bb0c71730813a62502a8/gpr/gpr.gpr"] exited with code 4 error: Build failed, cannot perform installation ``` ---

Thatā€™s entirely possible, Iā€™m using 16.1.0 and according to the [crate status website](https://alire-crate-ci.ada.dev/crates/startup_gen.html), the latest tests are for 15.2.1. Iā€™ll try downgrading and see if that fixes the issue. ---

That was the issue, downgrading to 15.2.1 fixed it. Thank you! ---
