In the 80’s and 90’s, everyone knew Ada was the language to use when your code absolutely needed to behave, but I couldn’t get a security clearance so I couldn’t get a defense department programming job, so I had no opportunity to use Ada.
Recently, several people I highly respect have told me how good Ada is, so now that there’s an Open Source compiler, I began learning it, and find the whole Ada mindset fascinating. Soon I will begin teaching Ada basics to people with a month less experience than I, so my current push is understanding the right way to do Ada.
The Ada Forum greatly enhances the quality of the language.
