Ada Developers Workshop @ AEiC 2025 - Paris, June 13th

Dear community,

it pleases me to announce the second edition of the Ada Developers Workshop, which will be taking place within the wider Ada-Europe international Conference on Reliable Software Technologies, Paris 10-13th of June.

The Workshop will be taking place on Friday the 13th, this way we minimize the amount of free days people may need to take off from work and also have the weekend to enjoy Paris or the rest of France.

Please, read the Workshop’s website to know more about the submission requirements, the deadlines and contact information. Nonetheless, we would like to schedule technical presentations, tutorials, demos, live performances, project status reports, discussions, etc, in the Ada Developers Workshop.

The cost to attend the workshop is still to be decided, but we expect it to be similar to last year, so a highly reduced cost is to be expected, that way we can maximize in-person attendance. We will also be featuring a live-stream just like last year.

I see that registration information is now available, though not the actual registration page. The workshop is quoted at €25 for early registration and €35 for late.

The accommodation information is also available. I am unable to book rooms at the special rate at the Marriott using the provided link; I get “Access denied”.

I just tried and the link worked, for example to book a room for Thu/Fri night. You might have experienced a temporary problem.

Do note however that this special rate link is only for bookings in the period Tue - Fri. If you stay earlier and/or later you’ll need another or additional hotel. See the accommodation info in the conference website.

It is still failing for me. I get

An error has occurred

This is after selecting dates (only conference dates can be selected) and clicking on “Check Availability”.

I’m using Firefox (no extensions) on Xubuntu.

I had checked on my smartphone (Huawei, Chrome) and on my old laptop (Asus, Windows10, Chrome), and have just checked again on the latter with Firefox: each time I could select the Thu/Fri night and got a proposal for a room. I didn’t continue further as I already have a reservation in another hotel.

I did accept cookies, could that have made the difference?

Otherwise, I recommend you contact the local chair and the conference chair to signal your problem.

(I already replied earlier today, but can’t find that message so apparently it wasn’t distributed; sorry if both would show up…)

I wrote directly to the hotel, and received a response from the Event Coordinator, who arranged the booking for me. I wonder, though, why I am experiencing this; I also tried Chromium with the same result.
