I have noticed that General has the possibility to accept solutions while Help does not. Therefore I would like to ask for the reason for this difference, as my intuition tells me that I am missing something.

Good call. I’ve enabled marking topics in Help as resolved. Topics will be closed to replies 24 hours after resolution.
I think that maybe it would be better if the topics are not closed, as then people could post new replies that may not have been considered before, don’t know, having mixed feelings on this.
