SparForte is a scripting language, template language and shell based on Ada and Bourne shell. It has been in development for over 20 years and has about 133,000 lines of code.
This release is a major refactor creating a foundation for value meta labels (Phase 1) which provides units of measure and security policies that can be attached to values. The work is ongoing. There is also a new pragma for redirecting error messages to a script for processing such as a LLM or text-to-speech software. 35 bug fixes.
