ANN: VSS has been split into two libraries and main repo is now archived

Dear community,

EDIT: read the post by @jmiven just right below as it gives the actually correct information.

I just became aware that VSS has been archived and the repo has been renamed to reflect such change.

Maybe the Ada-Lang org could create a fork of the archived tools and allow for further community maintenance. After all, most of the tools created by AdaCore are open and we can further develop them if there is a will and action to do so.

Hello,

There is a deprecation note in the readme, with links to split packages vss-text and vss-extra. I believe those are alive and well?

Ouch, I gave it a quick look just in case but I did not see the notice. I will update the title to reflect the change.
