Don't forget to fill out the 2025 Stack Overflow Survey! (closing soon?)

This is still open, if anyone hasn’t taken the survey yet! I don’t know how much longer it will be live.

You can indicate if you’ve used Ada in the last year or plan to use / learn it in the next year. Last year was the very first time Ada was ever on the survey, let’s make sure it has a great standing this year too!

P.S. If you use Alire, be sure to list it under the question:

“Which cloud platforms, containerization/orchestration tools, package managers, build tools, and infrastructure as code solutions have you done extensive development work in over the past year, and which do you want to work in over the next year?”

To avoid missing the page about cloud platforms, is the number 37 of 46 (if I counted well) pages in total…

The survey looks about pushing AI. If a language question is asked then only to poison the well, IMO. I completed it anyway, but, as I said, I am afraid that mentioning Ada would rather make more harm than help.

Yep annoyingly long and so many questions about AI. I have heard stack overflows traffic has dropped. I guess due to people using chat bots instead of google search. Likely using the sites data possibly with confusing hallucinations or misuse of context without stack overflow getting any traffic benefit. Perhaps people will go back to search engines when they realise these problems are caused by LLMs but I won’t hold my breath. A lot of the benefit of stack overflow is the nuanced disagreements.
