The logo cannot yet be seen on simpleicons.org. It’s probably a matter of the project getting a new release, because the publishing workflow triggers on push to master, and they merge pull requests to develop.
Not on the “badge” thing, but David Botton did a contest for a new icon/mascot, which is displayed on getadanow.com (vector pdf) — I have an SVG, but don’t see one on the site.

Yes, that’s one of the other possible logos, but not everyone likes it, and it isn’t readable in small sizes as the horizon logo (see Is there an Ada badge like the Alire one? - #16 by mgrojo). There’s an SVG version on Mediawiki Commons.
I don’t dislike that one, in fact, I used that logo for the Ada wikibook with the Wikibooks colors. We can use them both, one as mascot and the other as brand logo. Many images of Ada Lovelace are also nice (not all).
